Duration: 60mins. This therapy can cause flushing. There is the possibility this can cause an allergy reaction, so a small test amount is given first. We carry emergency equipment and drugs to manage this on site, however a consent form will need to be completed beforehand. Skin staining is a very rare risk if the cannula site leaks, we reduce this risk by running IV fluid via the cannula before and after procedure, to ensure the cannula is working correctly.
